“When I first arrived at this Hobe Sound residence, my initial thought was ‘let’s bring this home into the light,’” says designer Jim Dove. “Because the surrounding gardens were lush and calm, we installed a large window devised of three paned sections at the front of the kitchen. This provided an abundance of light streaming into the space. The sink was placed below the catty-cornered window to take advantage of the views of the tropical gardens. To keep the kitchen light and crisp, we painted the walls white and designed high-gloss white cabinetry with white countertops. Our empty nester clients truly love blue, so we installed a glossy blue Sub-Zero refrigerator and a custom tall cupboard in a similar shade.”
